If your site is only about YNAB. Building a site that is only a showcase for our product is misleading to the surfing public and only serves to confuse people.
If your site is a plethora of links with little to no direction or content.
If your site contains any plagiarized content – unauthorized verbatim text and/or graphics – from our site or any other that we are aware of.
If your design too closely mimics our current or past design.
If your links to us appear to be an order form in any way.

Q: Overall what is it that you look for and deem acceptable when considering a website for approval?
A: When we decide to approve a website for inclusion in our affiliate program it is because we are confident that your honest hardworking efforts have earned you the respect of your readership and the surfing public in general. A website built on those ideals exudes confidence in the people who stop by and we welcome the opportunity to be affiliated with your site. Your good name and reputation is in line with ours and by having the two linked, we help to further the efforts of each other while maintaining confidence in the people who visit our sites.
Q: Does my website need to be focused in the financial world or of a money management nature?
A: No. As long as it falls into the acceptable criteria outlined above then it is entirely possible to be approved regardless of your content or niche.
Q: Will I need to have a review of YNAB on my site?
A: No, but it can help your chances of earning commissions should your site be approved (since readers may want to learn more) and we of course welcome all original comments/critiques of our software and service. :)
Q: Why do I need to provide my SS# or EIN#?
A: Any commissions in excess of a certain amount need to be reported as earnings to the US Internal Revenue Service and in that case we will need to issue you a 1099 form at years end for your taxes.
Q: But I’m not located in the United States, now what?
A: No problem, as long as your site is acceptable in other areas we can arrange things with you directly.
Q: What about YNAB is so different that I should consider applying?
A: The YNAB budgeting system is completely unique, so you don’t have to worry about a bunch of “repeat” products. Also, it is guaranteed for customer satisfaction.
Q: If I am approved what can I expect?
A: You will be notified via email of your approval and be provided with a link and password to an online system where you can track all sales and commissions in real-time. Payments are made monthly via Check when the balance earned exceeds $50.
Q: What about graphics? Do you provide banner ads of any sort?
A: Yes! We have a large selection of ads in various sizes for use in a traditional banner ad placement as well as ones formatted for use in vertical sidebars. All of these are easily configured and linked to via the Affiliate login section of our site.
