While the initial bid may be to high be sure you are comparing apples to apples. Many termite companies contracts are not the same. I learned this the hard way. Terminix gave us a bid of $1030. We got a lower bid of $840 from another company but their contract was termed and expired in 7 years. What this meant is that in 7 years we would have to pay to have the house treated AGAIN. Terminix's contract was lifetime. Another company bid $932 but it only covered the structure and not the contents, and they had a limit of $250 on repainting. They also had a copay of $250 dollars. While Terminix was a bit more expensive in the long run they had the best contract over anyone. Also ensure that if you are having the liquid treatment which I recommend over those stupid bait systems that they are using Termidor. We found another company that offered a great deal but the stuff they were using would only last about 2 to 3 years.
