Yes! My husband and I have been "reactionary budgeters" for about 7 years now. It. doesn't. work. I've only had your software installed for about a week now I'm already seeing improvements in this area- For one I don't have to worry about Husby's niggling little receipts, because they're coming out of HIS pocket money, and I can tell he's liking the freedom of knowing he can spend that on whatever he wants. It's become very clear to him now when he needs a receipt- any time he's using the debit card. And we HAVE had an unexpected expense this month, and because I was able to look at the money we actually have (no emergency fund built up yet) I was able to call back the dentist office and with confidence tell them what I could afford per month on a payment plan, which they set up for me interest free. Now I'm looking forward to getting reserves built up so I won't even have to do that :D

That's the best. And so true. My friends/family act like I'm a total goon when I ask for a receipt for a $1.25 soda or a $0.40 toll. They roll their eyes and sigh dramatically. But I'm the one that never has to worry about money, and if I don't have it (set aside for a specific purpose), then I just say, "Sorry, don't have money available for that."
