		<description>Great post Jesse.  The concept of personal accountability seems foreign to many people.

I&#039;m an analyst with a healthcare consulting firm based in Salt Lake City, and our managing director gave a great piece of advice a few months ago.  When giving a training on selling consulting projects he said something along the lines of:

&quot;If I don’t sell it’s all my fault, I accept responsibility for everything I do.  I’m responsible, I’m in control.  I don’t self critique, I only critique.  Until the ball goes over the fence I did not do my job.&quot;

He knows that he cannot literally accept responsibility for every aspect of his life, but he lives his life true to the idea that he CAN.  Because he gives 100% of his energy and willpower 100% of the time, he is extremely successful at what he does.  Accepting responsibility for your life is essential if you want to be great in your career, as a husband, father, or anything you strive to do.</description>
