Feature Request: CURRENT MONTH BUTTON on Budget Screen

Feature Request: CURRENT MONTH BUTTON on Budget Screen

Postby kevink » Mon Mar 01, 2010 3:57 am

Hello,

When scrolling around the budget page, which I do extensively to review past months and project future months' budgets, it would be nice to quickly jump back to the current month when I'm finished.

I'm envisioning something similar to GCal's "Today" button...maybe call it "This Month".

Thank you for a great product!!

Hmm, how far back are you going? With my budget window open right now, April as Current, I can click to January 2009 and still be one click to April - it's still visible on the timeline above the Budget. I can click to August 2011 and still click April 2010 on the timeline. The little arrows on the top right and left of the timeline make getting to the current month a 2 click process if I got further than those dates.

I suppose, because of this, it doesn't seem overly necessary (to me, at least)... I guess if you're looking back beyond a year or forward more than a year it might be handy... But again, couple clicks with the arrows gets you right where you need to be. :)

i would like it because it makes getting to "today" from wherever you are easy. whether you are going back 1 month or 5 months or 50 months it helps if "today" is always in the same spot.
