Is the iPhone app even In Review, yet?

Doesn't it have to be In Review before the theoretical "98% approval within 5 days" clock even starts ticking again?

I had been, but there were no updates for a while and thought there might be an answer here, especially since a thread mentioned that the YNAB guys apparently knew what Apple's issue is. Apparently, it still isn't even being reviewed.

Evernote Food . . . Kindle . . . LastPass . . . all updated . . . No YNAB in updates :(.

Sigh.

The one app where an update is really important, and Apple makes everybody wait :(.

I know :-( I was waiting patiently, but now I'm pretty bummed out everytime I check the App Store and every other app I own is in there except the one I want.

I was on Apple's online store last night and found that I was grumbling to myself about their failure to approve the iPhone apps. And I don't even have an iPhone.

Happy independence day, Americans!

Dare one hope the app might be similarly liberated tomorrow?

(Btw as a UK poster on this forum I should point out that if you had not separated from the UK, today would not be a public holiday and so Apple would have been hard at work hopefully reviewing the app. Independence comes at a heavy cost - perhaps the two countries should merge before the release of YNAB 5?).

And now it's been rejected as the blog now shows

Good grief, Charlie Brown!

I really want to start using iOS app again. Come on Apple. Just because it's not using iCloud is no reason for holding it hostage :)

It not only YNAB....
ScreenCastOnline has some tutorials that he's put in the App Store. In the past they were accepted. Now Apple is telling him they belong in the podcast or movie sections. The apps are podcast style. But they explain in details all about the topic (e.g. Lion or iOS5, etc) So now he's trying to put some kind of interactive control on these to get Apple to accept them.

Seems Apple has gotten very picky lately.

This article about malware and Android apps might help explain why Apple are so keen to vet the apps on their devices:

Cmon Apple - gimme good news..... I have 42 transactions pending sync on the iPhone app and it's making budgeting a bit hard now being able to see the true data in just 1 location.

How are things looking with the review, guys?

Last I read, it was rejected for non-functional reasons and is back waiting for review.

YNAB Lite is available now and has the cloud sync feature, but doesn't have account view, geo-smart payees and favourite categories. Will that get you by until the release of the full version?

Not if he needs to sync.

It sounds like he needs to turn off cloud sync IN YNAB 4, use wifi sync to get the transactions into YNAB 4, then either delete the transactions from the iPhone or sync with YNAB 3 for the sole purpose of clearing them.
