How annoying is it to try and reconcile your account when you belong to Bank of America for you?

For me, it's VERY annoying! Keep the change has to be the most annoying thing ever. Thankfully it won't be that much longer before I can terminate this account.

I'd be interested in hearing how chrisasst handles it. I used to have a BOA account and reconciling my budget (I was just using Excel back then) drove me crazy too!

geez, you guys got me thinking I am not it wrong..lol....

All I do with the KTC is just make a transfer from checking to my savings. No category is needed because I have my savings ( at the moment) on budget.

KTC irritates me. When I move the KTC amount, the amount is still there but the savings will add the sum anyway.

Meaning.

CHK: 40
SAV: 40

You see KTC in there is 5 dollars

You transfer from CHK to Savings and the result is

CHK 35
SAV 45.

But my balance on the bank says 40 in my savings, not 45!!

Confusing.

what am I missing, that scenario seems correct..

example for me...

chk = $40 (matches ynab)
sav = $40 (matches ynab)

you get a ktc for $5

you enter that into your ynab chk register as transfer to savings....no budget cat needed..

my new balance is
chk = $35 (matches ynab)
sav = $45 ( matches ynab)

are you saying that your actual balances and your ynab balances do not match after words?

I think I know what you are talking about.

The KTC savings transactions lag in being cleared by 1 business day ie KTC clears on monday in checking and Tuesday in savings. you need to match cleared balances.

Just call 800 number and cancel KTC if it bothers you that much.
