I doubt you'll find them -- this definitely sounds like a scam. As is often the case with this type of operation, the only people making money are the ones who got in early and are exploiting the later-comers, I'd guess.

Well, I am one of those silly or should I saw stupid enough to fall for their sweet talk and have lost USD1000+ in it and have only received USD 7.18 from them. They say guarantee to make money within the first 90 days if not you get your money back. When I asked for my money back, they said I have made USD7.18 so that's considered. I am from NZ. Is there anyone else from NZ who fell for their scheme? Anyone could advice how to get my money back? I wish I wasnt so naive. I left my job to be a full time mum and fell for a scam!

I too am a newbie. I have recently joined OHN so for those of you not in a rush, you can live and learn through me for a little while and see if I actually make any money out of this thing. First of all, the prices quoted previously ranging from $150 (Basic) to almost $500 I think for the Elite package are for your inital set up - i.e. the actual website etc and this is what's refundable within 90 days.....!

Hi Hopeful,

I am interested to know your feedback. How is it going with OHN? Have you had any success with them.
Let us know.

hello everyone, sorry I have been absent for some time. this is the first time I have checked back in a while. Basically after getting involved with OHN, I was contacted by the Tax Club (do a google search and you'll soon find the horror stories on them) and came very close to being scammed further and losing even more money. It was quite dramatic as they did very skilfully get some money out of me (to this day I am a bit dumbfounded by their sales tactics), however, I caught on very quickly after some internet searching and ran around frantically cancelling everything to get a refund (you must cancel within 3 days for them). It was awful to read of the debt some people have fallen into because of this crew. I finally got my money back from the Tax Club but was quite rattled by it all and didn't feel like having any contact with OHN for some time. I then wrote an email to OHN to request a refund and explained my reasons and disappointments. This put me on to a guy who I have had some contact with who said I could have the refund minus the 13.28 I had made in the first month (obviously they ensure everyone makes a few cents through their coop shares in the first month - which doesn't continue in coming months by the way). He also offered me extra advertising for free and showed almost genuine sympathy in my frustrations when I had a call from another company associated with the Tax Club on Christmas morning in which he told me I had my priorities out of order when I said I wasn't interested and it was xmas day! Because I could not seem to get the money I had paid on advertising refunded the set up fee seemed minimal so I still have my website to this day. I have been contacted by my trainer again and I guess I will re-engage with him because there's nothing really left to lose. It's difficult to comment accurately as I have not exactly held up my end of the deal and worked on my website, but I just got quite scared about becoming deeper involved in these horrible scams further for a while there. Through all of this I have come into contact with a lady who has had a similiar experience in Aust. Her bank was ANZ and she lodged a transaction dispute and managed to get her money back that way after some time. Her situation was a little different to mine as she had clearly been lied to. Anyway, as I chip away at the debt and things look more positive for me, I will try to keep you more up to date if anything positive starts to happen with OHN. Hope this is of some help! Kind regards :)

Definitely someone to avoid is this mob. They contacted my wife in response to an invitation from one of these online survey people. sounded good at the time. My wife had me listen in on the initial conversation with online hosting network and at the time it sounded genuine. Then there was the sales pitch from a pleasant lady and despite my better judgment we paid the fee for the elite package about $430 AUD. That amount I could afford. This is with the thinking that we would get to own a website that allowed us to generate income from affiliate marketing.
After the fee was paid we had access to our site (womensbootsnshoes.com) When I started to troll through I found a blatant reference to an advertising option. I also found that we did not own the site and had very limited control over it's look and content. I could not even add keywords. This is when the alarm bells rang loud and the advertising option became clear. I was now waiting for the phone call for more money; I did not have to wait long.

I had a call from Cliff at OHN this morning to give us the sales pitch again. After he had finished his lecture about how great their service is and that we need to advertise our site to start making any money; he presented the options. You know the old thing about making money you need to have money; well this is his pitch.

We are now supposed to pay more money to the marketing team for them to educate us in placing adverts and promote our site. This is done with SEO, email's, newspaper adds and sponsored listings.

Here is what they did not tell us before.

Option 1 = $2495
4 months live training support
12 months worth of advertising
30K plus targeted email's
Referral upgrade to $500

Option 2 = $3495
8 months live training support
18 months worth of advertising
50K plus targeted email's
Referral upgrade to $500

Option 3 = $4995
12 months live training support
36 months worth of advertising
100K plus targeted email's
Referral upgrade to $500

He was disappointed that I did not take an option on the spot especially when I told him that I would talk it over with you before we make a decision. I suspected this is what they were going to offer because we do never own the site, The ability to add key words and verification code and enhancements are all done by the marketing team, we only have limited functionality. I got the feeling that it is all about them making the money and we only get to skim the cream off the top providing we work hard for them.

My next step now is to try and get my money back from the initial call and contact my bank to arrange a block from OHN.
I already have another website up and running that I have full control over and I own; this one with OHN just sounded like a low cost alternative, but I was wrong.
I have used storesonline before, they do charge about $6000 AUD for the license but it is well worth it. You could even try webz2go.com for something better.

Please pardon me for plugging my site at wensbootsnshoes.com

Oh Shit, I wish I had read these comments about OHN though at least I have only made the initial outlay of $377. Usually I am pretty cautious but I am sure many many of us have said that before. I live in Australia so I am going to contact my bank and the Consumer Affairs hotline to see if there is anyway of recovering my money.

Hi all, I am SO SO pleased I found you . I replied to an ad by Online Hosting Network and lo and behold, I got a phone call today from a lady called Erni (now I wonder if her name has a meaning!) She was very friendly and was most sympathetic when I informed I was made redundant from my job - (that information, she thought, would make it all the more easy for her to get me signed up). I listened to the audio sales spiel, then she gave me all the prices for the different levels et etc. etc. Yes, this really sounds interesting, do able and profitable

When I said I would have to discuss it with my hubby, 'cos of our situation, the price went down to $50 for the first level and they would reclaim the balance from my first commission.BUT I would have to sign up today to get the reduced price.

However attractive this scheme seemed and, I was very tempted, I took another deep breath and stood by my wanting to think about it. Then I did some research and found you, and like my husband, thinks ITS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE.

While I'm job hunting, I'll plug away at all those on line surveys - I have earned myself a £30 Gift voucher for House of Fraser - £3.50 in cash; loads of entries into cash draws; and loads of points for what, I do not know! Its tedious but there are some panels like http://www.computerpulse.co.uk; http://www.synovate.com, and others, who are genuine and who will pay out cash or vouchers, to pass the time of day.

Thank you all again for your honesty.

Hi All,

Yes, I had been wondering if this was a scam. I have actually signed up to the middle level. The salesman "George Ibanez" was very pushy and and offered to reduce the initial cost by $100 making my cost $188 USD. The website was created soon enough and I have begun to personalise it. I was under the impression that the fee would include optimization for the main search engines. I though they would give me a few weeks to get the website looking how I want it to look; then submit the website to the search engines. I noticed they will only give us the home page + 4 others. I thought this was a bit odd

Last week I got a phone call from another high pressure dude (Carl Summers)wanting to sell me advertising for my website. The "back office" has a page about the need to advertise but nothing about any advertising "programs" or what they cost. He offered me a "special" $395 USD for 6 months advertising. Some warning lights went off in my head and I said no. The truth is I don't have this money spare so I couldn't pay it even if i wanted to. After a bit more pushing he backed off and said he would pass my account to the "no-cost advertising" section. I have had a call from the "no cost advertising" guy but it went to voicemail - so I haven't been offered any "no cost advertising" programs yet. Funny how we look for schemes to make us a bit of money yet they end up costing us instead.

In hindsight, there are warning signs along the way. Their own website is very simple and has very little real info on it. Nowhere, on their website or the "back office" is there any info about costs to the client.
I guess I should have looked into Amazon associate businesses first. I post any developments as the happen.

Hi All,

I'm also in Australia and have gone along with the phone calls and selling by OHN. I really wanted to create and make a successful website, so after spending the initial cost,I was a busy as a beaver building my site and getting lots of back of house support. Everyone was very nice and then I was hit up for $1400, so I thought ok, I will need to invest to get money back. They rang early in the morning because of the time difference and being a bit sleepy got talked into another $1500 for advertising.

Today I was rung and asked to join some club as I would ( in their words) need a resident agent and a legal point of contact in the States. I had decided to definitely say no if money was requested again. Main reason, they have maxed out my credit card. I said no and they said just pay $500 out of the $2390.00 and I could pay the rest per month.

I really wanted to believe in them and make a success of my website but after reading all your notes, I feel I sure try to get out of this but don't know how. I haven't received my first cheque $8.34 even though it has been sent. As I have been signed up since Jan. 28th and no money, perhaps I could try to get my money back.

I tried this because I couldn't work anymore outside due to a heart attack. Do not want more stress.

Hi

Is there a computer whiz member of this forum who can hack into their system and put some kind of tracking cookie to everyone who clicks on the ONH website so a message can flash up on the screen of the enquirer saying

"This method of making money can seriously damage your wealth" click here for details and have a link to YNAB

but this is NOT seen by the OHN people.

Also is someone very brave to put out a blog on Facebook, You Tube about this OHN?

This unscrupulous so called company prey on those of us who are vulnerable. There are so many more of us now are finding our finances being squeezed more and more by rising taxes, cost of living, redundancy, etc etc, it's no wonder we feel that trying to earn some money from the comfort of our own home very appealing.

Incidentally, I got a phone call from a guy last night asking me if I had reconsidered, and gave me all the spiel and the special price and when I started asking awkward questions, he hung up on me.

Hi I am from NZ and yes got talked into sgning up for OHN, I have paid so far $1,600NZ, this is to cover me for 6months with 1 on 1 training, 20,000 emails sent out and a gauranteed 5000 visitors within this 6 month period. I actually enjoyed customising my website and felt that this could be a great opportunity. I was due to get a call from my 1 on 1 trainer and yes I did a week or so later. I have a day job so couldn't speak to them while working so couldn't answer my cell, I was home last Sat and a guy called Luki (unsure of spelling) rang me. I already had made my mind up that I wasn't going to put any more money into this unless I saw some kind of return within the next 3 to 4 months on what I had alreay paid (I to put it on my cc thru paypal and am now looking at paying it off.

Anyway not long into the converstion it was suggested that I go for 18months at another whopping $1,900, he said it is normally $4,000 but he would help me out with $2,000 by using money from his promotional fund. I said no and that I just don't have the money, he is going to ring me this Thurs to do some training but I can't help wondering how long it will be before he asks for money again. I ave only been with the company about 3 weeks so if anyone else can share experiences with me I would be grateful. i have to say these people know how to talk you into a sale and if thats what you are looking at it is easy to fall for it. Mind you the jurys still out on that decision in my case as its early days, i feel very disconcerted now though after reading these posts

Hi All,
I wrote previously that I would keep contributing to this forum. Since my last post there has been some progress. I have spoken to a guy (Robert) about no-cost advertising and he has sent me an email containing some useful info. I have also learnt a bit about on-line marketing and search engines. I'm glad I declined to pay for advertising. They talk about email 'storms' and 'popunders' that will drive traffic to your website. I gave this some thought. In my day to day activities I get plenty of 'popunders' but I have never followed the link to the site it's advertising - NEVER. I just see them as a nuisance and dismiss them immediately. To have a link to my website being sprayed around the internet as a popunder is pointless. Email storms are similarly useless - if an email came into my inbox telling me "The best place to buy your drill bits is at www.JacksDrillBits.com" I would consider it spam and delete it.
The most important aspect of this scheme/scam is to develop your website so that it is a decent place to go. You need to personalise it. You also need to go through the SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) process. This is not an easy process to understand. I have done the SEO but I'm not sure if I understand it properly. Lastly, you do need to advertise your website. Robert from OHN gave me a couple of websites where you can advertise your site for free. I am hoping to create myself a banner which I can use in banner exchange programs although I haven't figured out how banner exchange programs work yet.
My advice for what it's worth - the most important thing to do is to educate yourself about internet marketing in general and how internet traffic can find your website. I have not made any money yet but I'm not expecting to until I get all these things sorted out.
Good luck

Thanks for the update. I'm still working on getting a refund for my mum. They refused to give one as she hadn't done any work on advertising (didn't have the faintest clue how), and will spend the next 90 days advertising for her for free. She can then decide to cancel and they'll refund what she paid less any earnings. I've put an appointment on my calendar to go visit her on the day they said to call back and ring them about the refund for her. If she has to talk to them again they'll end up talking her into spending more and she'll never get her refund back
