YNAB You Need A Budget

Well... I am a YNAB Militant. I live by it day-to-day. Balance transaction daily and have altered my life to accomodate planning and budgeting. Since starting this plan, I have eliminated $13,000 in debt and for the first time ever... I have booked a vacation to Disney World AND PAID FOR IT WITH CASH! No credit card, No IOU, No debt!

For the life of me, I cannot ever remember changing the way I used to do things until it just hit me. I got off of the phone with the travel agent and realized that I am paid-in-full. CASH MONEY! What a feeling.

This is the first time I have paid cash for an item which is "expensive". I used to charge it and worry about it later, which I always paid off, but god knows the interest I ending up paying for it in the long run.

Congratulations! We are aiming to do that exact same thing in August 2012.

We did have one other cash vacation to Myrtle Beach - we used a tax return, but we weren't debt free at the time. Hopefully next time we will be.

Nice work and congrats!! Actually, I sit here in Disney as I type this finishing up our paid in cash vacation too!!!! It is such an incredible and liberating experience to know we get back on the plan soon without worrying about how to pay for it later!!
