I used to be a quicken power user, let me just say that this software is much more effective than anything else I've tried. Math is math; (spend less than you make) but the way the software works really forces responsibility (or flat out neglect) in your finances. I am lucky enough to have been able to be fully buffered pretty quickly and that's when you really start to see the power this type of budgeting has. Thanks for YNAB, it really changes your finances. I'll admit that I always liked tracking everything in quicken, running reports, tracking my 401k, etc. I still miss a lot of that; but I don't have the energy to run both programs side by side, so I stuck with the one that resulted in the highest success.
Thanks again!
