Proud Parent Moment

Postby macduncan » Sat Mar 06, 2010 8:59 pm

Hi all...thought I would share....I had a proud parent moment yesterday! My 8 year old daughter forgot her purse so I lent her $20.00 to buy something at Disney. I reminded her why borrowing money and being in debt is bad and she would owe me the money when we got back to the house we are renting.

Well I started taking care of some things and in walks my daughter who said "here Dad is the $20 I owe, I wanted to pay you right away". How awesome was that, I forgot about it but she didn't. She hears me mention Dave Ramsey and YNAB on a daily basis probably and I can tell you it's paying off!!!!

If they can learn some of these principles early on, they will be so much better off!

Take care all.

Bill
