How about an update? With two months under your belt, how is life in Bufferland? (Can you tell I need a shot in the arm to keep plugging away at it?)
Sairey
Hi Sairey, life is good.

I've had a few bumps along the way in the last two months but thanks to having the buffer we've been able to
Roll right along without getting smacked around like we did in the old paycheck-to-paycheck days. Mainly it was my commute to work car that decide to die so I picked up another lawn sale car for $500 which was not in the budget.

In any case, life is better in Bufferland than I even expected it would be. There's something about the complete peace of mind you get by paying every single bill you have on the first day of the month that simply cannot be put into words. Trust me that it's worth the climb.
One other huge benefit of being here is the clarity that comes with knowing exactly what we can spend such that the Rainy day funds are now being tended to whereas during the climb to the buffer they were not a priority. I've even written an
article here that goes into it in more detail in case you're interested.
I hope this helps motivate you Sairey and remember, even if you sacrifice to get to Bufferland early then find you don't like it, you can always just slide back to 'normal' spending management.
Hurry up, come on over, the doors open and we're holding a space for you.
Steve
