The category for stupid, avoidable things

Discussion about the Four Rules of YNAB, how and why they work, and what you need to do to implement them.

The category for stupid, avoidable things

Postby malisab » Sun Feb 21, 2010 10:20 am

I know that some of you have posted great category names for things like bank fees, speeding tickets, interest, etc. All those (theoretically) avoidable expenses. I'm moving to lump them together and I'd love to borrow one of them. Care to share?

I just use "Unexpected Expenses" - but the one that made me laugh (don't remember who it was) was "Stupidity Fees" :D

Nothing very interesting here...I use miscellaneous...actually miscl. for various very small things like the occasional (actually very rare now that we use ING) ATM fee or some other thing that very rarely comes up and usually is a very small amount. But for most things I go ahead and make a category even if it only comes up a few times a year.
