YNAB Buffer Progress Chart

Postby bhnash » Fri Aug 20, 2010 11:44 am

Hello fellow YNABers,

I wanted to share with you the charts I have made for visually tracking debt payoff and savings goals. Jesse and I both thought a YNAB Buffer chart would be very useful, so I designed one and put it up on my blog for free download. You can find the chart here: http://debtfreecharts.blogspot.com/2010/08/ynab-buffer-savings-chart.html
- or you can go here and see all the charts http://debtfreecharts.blogspot.com - I hope they are helpful.

Very nice Heidi, Thank you! :)

For any of you that haven't taken a look yet you need to take a minute and check out Heidi's site. She has several different charts available and all of them are free.

In case you aren't familiar with how to use them (I have to admit I wasn't sure myself at first) she recently posted a short guide with a couple of pictures that you can find here.

The gist of it is that you would treat the chart like the ubiquitous fund raising thermometers that you've all seen at one time or another. As you gain ground with the money you are saving toward your goal you fill in the lines that represent amounts that you define. Once the chart is full you're there! :D

It's a great motivator that you can post on the fridge and did I mention that they're FREE?
