opening as read-only file in open office

YNAB Basic was discontinued on December 31, 2009. You can still try your luck at getting questions answered here, but we all highly recommend you look at upgrading.

opening as read-only file in open office

I just purchased YNAB yesterday, but I have been unable to successfully open the spreadsheet in Open Office. It's telling me that it's a 'read-only' file...help?

did it ask you if you wanted to enable the macros that are built in?

try right clicking on the file and selecting properties and see if in the properties window that it is not set to read only

If you remove the .ods file from the .zip file (drag and drop, or extract it, it's the same end result), it won't open in read-only any longer.
