help with neo office

YNAB Basic was discontinued on December 31, 2009. You can still try your luck at getting questions answered here, but we all highly recommend you look at upgrading.

I don't have and don't know Neo Office, but can you open Neo Office, choose File: Open, and then navigate to where your YNAB file is? (That's what would work with Excel, etc.)

Which of the following is it...
a) You don't know how to open neo?
b) You know how to open neo, but don't know how to navigate to and open a file?
c) You know how to open neo and know how to navigate to a file, but you can't find your YNAB budget file?
d) You know how to open neo and know how to navigate to a file and can find your YNAB budget file, but can't get it to open?

Malisa,
I am trying to get started so at this point I have no budget...I can open the YNAB sample..however, the sample looks funny because it was only opening with numbers (mac's spreadsheet) so I downloaded neo...I then told YNAB "sample" (because I don't have my own yet) to open with neo office...it seems though that neo's default is word processing...so here I am... I have a funny looking sample budget (spreadsheet doesn't look like the one on the tutorial) I can open a blank neo spreadsheet.... but I don't know how to get the budget stuff onto neo's spreadsheet so I can create my own
thank you so much for trying to pursue this with me...it's quite frustrating

I love a mystery.

But I guess short of downloading it myself, I'm not much help. Sorry.

In poking around I found this page. http://neowiki.sixthcrusade.com/index.p ... creenshots Maybe something there will show you how to open the Calc part of neo office.

If you open the spreadsheet portion of neo office, can you tell it to open a file directly? file-->open, or something along those lines?

I can open directly but nothing happens... maybe something needs to be reinstalled?
