Some data missing

Some data missing

Postby INAB-Ryan » Thu Jun 28, 2012 9:40 pm

I just sat down to enter some expenses from today and noticed a couple icons on my budget accounts. The icon indicates some entries don't have a category. These items were from some entries I put in last week. The problem is they were not where I left them. I had left these items in a non-budget account. Where I found them today was in the original account I created them and some were entries were missing entirely. What happened? I am using the trial version of YNAB3. When I was reviewing this product I noticed a post from someone saying something similar had happened to them during the trail period. I'm not sure which site that was on but I'm a little concerned about this happening again. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

Did you by chance open up a backup version of the file?

I recommend trying the YNAB4 trial instead of the YNAB3 trial. YNAB3 is no longer for sale.

On occasion we would loose data from YNAB3, I chalked it up to not saving and used to hit save every so often, my wife did too. We now have YNAB4, it saves for you automatically and for the time we have had it have not lost any data.

YNAB 4? I wonder how I downloaded 3 from the site if 4 is out. I just started the trial two weeks ago. I just installed YNAB 4 and upgraded my file so we'll see if the issue with the lost data happens again. Thanks.

YNAB4 was released on Tuesday, so you might as well get the Good Stuff!
