I am super excited for the beta and the new version! I have been using YNAB for a year and a half and have been trying to get myself out of debt. I did not know where to start and was totally overwhelmed. I would not be able to get this far without YNAB! Thank You!!!

BTW, I am the daughter to who "fair" is a four letter word.

I read somewhere earlier that this was to work on Linux? I am running ubuntu, and would LOVE for it to work on my computer!! Is it still going to do that, or just Mac/Windows?

Hi Deb,

As long as you can get Adobe AIR to run on your system then yes, YNAB 3 should run fine on Linux. :)

I've been on vacation (saved and paid for in cash!) for the past 16 days and missed most of this thread, but I just wanted to add that as a YNAB Basic owner running the spreadsheet in Openoffice on a Linux netbook, I am very happy to hear that YNAB Pro 3.0 will soon be available. I ran the longer 60-day trial of YNAB Pro 2.8 on my Windows machine earlier this year and really loved it, but downgraded to Basic when it was time to buy because of the uncertainty of upgrade pricing and release date on Pro 3.0 in order to minimize the hit on my wallet when the next version came out.

I actually like Basic a lot now that I've gotten accustomed to it, but it will rock to have transaction importing again!

Alas, transaction importing means nothing to me, as my bank doesn't provide a download facility :(

Mind you, the Pro charts and recurring transactions features are nice, too, even if your bank doesn't provide transaction downloads.

I'm torn. I'm a geek and ALWAYS love beta-testing my favorite products.

And YNAB is one of my favorite products.

But...unless the beta has my baby in it, I don't see what I'd do but 1) complain that it's not in there and 2) complain that I was silly enough to spend money to beta-test something I already knew wouldn't be a product I can use. ;-) (I'm still a Basic, rather than Pro, user on account of this issue.)

Anyway...that's my 2 cents on beta-testing. Maybe it won't be possible, but now you've heard from another user!

So, Jesse, did you go and change the pricing structure again? ;)

Yeah. "Improved" would probably be a better word for some :) The changes were based on feedback I've received from everyone (as requested) over the past little while.

I appreciate you finding a balance!

Bill

I bought early August, so anything that gets me a free upgrade is A-OK in my book. :)

Guess I can use the money built up in my 'software' category to buy a video game or something. ;)

A Mac user here... waiting, waiting, waiting! I feel like a YNAB stalker, checking the website every day to see if there's any news. When I recently bought my Mac, I went to Amazon to shop for a Mac version of the personal finance software I used with my PC. The reviews for YNAB were so great, that I didn't buy anything, but decided to wait for Mac-friendly YNAB.
