We have two separate checking accounts

Postby Ladyraff » Fri Mar 05, 2010 11:24 pm

My Husband and I have two separate joint checking accounts. His check goes into one account that we pay all of the bills with. My check goes into the other that we use to pay for food, daycare and other expenses. Do I put the two accounts together into one checkbook account or should I keep them separate? I am also wondering if I keep them separate do I do it on another budget or can I do it on the same budget? By the way I am just starting to set everything up in ynab pro. I have not started using it yet.

Thanks for your help

Hi Ladyraff, welcome to YNAB and the forums. :)

I suggest that you keep the accounts separate in the register (create an account tab for each) and they will both work together on the single budget (as all accounts do in YNAB)

Easy enough? :)
