Keep YNAB Pro Going (I have YNAB 3 too)

YNAB Pro's codebase is retired. Support for YNAB Pro will continue through 2010. We are focusing all of our efforts on YNAB 3 and its movement along the road to software perfection.

Keep YNAB Pro Going (I have YNAB 3 too)

I wanted to make a couple of comments /suggestions on your excellent products. I have both YNAB Pro and YNAB 3. I've upgraded my data twice to YNAB 3, then gone back to YNAB Pro for one main reason and that's visibility. The green background shades of YNAB Pro are MUCH easier on OLD eyes like mine then YNAB 3's blue. Also being able to disable the multiple "pop-ups" (when you hold your mouse over an area of the spreadsheet) of YNAB 3 would be appreciated as those pop-ups get annoying when I don't really want/need to see them. I need to wait for them to disappear before continuing what I wanted to do which wastes valuable time.

For those two reasons, I've decided that I'm sticking with YNAB Pro for now... I wish it had the ability that YNAB 3 has for overspending (keeping it in the same category instead of allocating it to the entire next month's budget) and the PW report, but other then those two things, I'm a very happy camper with YNAB Pro. A really good feature that could be added to YNAB Pro would be that if you held your mouse over the "Income" for the month, all the income from the register would pop up, like how it does now for expenses.

I'm so very disappointed that you made the decision to NOT upgrade YNAB Pro in the future without asking your customers their opinon. I think it's a mistake. It's a much more compact product then YNAB 3 and AIR and I vastly prefer its operation.

THANK YOU OTHERWISE for a Most excellent product, I'm a huge fan of YNAB Pro and have recommended it to many of my colleagues... Just wish you continued to develop YNAB Pro. :(

Continuing development of YNAB Pro just wasn't financially possible for us. It would have stalled us out on both and, to be frank, run us into the ground.

Noted about the visibility and the ability to turn off the tooltips. That's something we certainly can work with!

Thanks Jesse! Appreciate your frank and truthful response. I love YNAB and owe my sanity to YNAB Pro, maybe that's why I"m so partial to it. :-)
