Remaining Balance Column

Remaining Balance Column

Postby toshgaal » Sun Feb 28, 2010 10:08 am

How come I am showing nothing in my remaining balance column? If I budgeted $200 and only spent $180 should it say a remainder of $20? Every remaining balance column is empty in my budget, as if something is turned off.

Also, when I put my cursor over the remaining cell it shows how much is remaining, but the actual numbers are not there.

Would anit-virus software cause this problem? I recently installed AVG anti-virus.

I started a new budget and it works ok. Is there a way to copy all the information out of my budget and past it into another new one to see if it works?

Every budget I have done is acting the same way, including all backups. I cant seem to find anyway to copy what I have into a new file. This is very frustrating. I guess it must be some sort of bug.

Try resizing the YNAB window.

I've had this happen a few times - if I tab through the budget numbers, the fields repopulate as I go.

Click into your first budget item & tab through until you get back to the top... if your issue is the same as the one I sometimes have, this will (temporarily) fix it.

Well, I found the problem. Somehow the date on my computer got changed to the year 2003. I changed it back to 2010 and now everything works great. My computer does this quite often, any clues to why this happens? Anyway, thanks for all the help and sorry for accusing YNAB of a bug

If the date keeps resetting then there might be a battery on your motherboard that is dead. It's been ages since I have had to change a clock battery on a motherboard so I don't even know if it's still done that way.

You might have a bad CMOS battery. That is what stores stuff in memory when the computer is powered off.
