YNAB Pro's codebase is retired. Support for YNAB Pro will continue through 2010. We are focusing all of our efforts on YNAB 3 and its movement along the road to software perfection.
It's not a big issue for me. I would maybe write 5 checks a year. I pay all of my bills by pre-authorized payment, credit card or direct payment from my bank's website.
I voted no, because I do not want a field for check numbers. I can see how it could be very useful to some, so I don't mind the feature being available so long as I can TURN IT OFF.
At first glance I thought the subject line was "Do you want an extra field for Chuck Norris?" Then I thought, maybe Jesse ought to or he could make him mad.
I can take or leave the check number field. I write checks infrequently and I don't pay attention to the numbers anyway. Internet bill pay has me spoiled. But, I wouldn't begrudge a check field for anyone else.

Just a quick thought, I am currently evaluating YNAB as a replcement for Money 2005 (Windows 7 upgrade as you ask)
THe most important 'feature' missing for me is the Cheque (Sorry I'm English) Number field. In this age of Credit and Debit cards, I do not use this for the Cheque number but for the ID or Date of the Bank / Credit Card Statement that has been resolved. If this field could be added to the filters, it would provide an excellent way of reveiwing / checking past spend.
It's pretty rare that I write checks any more but when I do I like having the separate field for it. It makes it easier to find, plus that's what I'm used to.
telliott24: the solution that was decided on earlier is that the check # field will be optional. It won't be there unless you click on a button to show it.
It seems like the only way to do debit cards at the moment is through a "Checking" type account. Debit cards don't really have check numbers, which might be a bit counterintuitive. I suppose that if they were available, but able to be hidden for a certain account, that would be just fine.
