YNAB You Need A Budget

So far, my favorite feature request from the newsletter sent out last Tuesday:

I want YNAB to make money appear in my account that wasn't there before so my budget can balance, this would need to be real money BTW otherwise it wouldn't help me would it?

I don't know if this is the appropriate place to suggest a feature ... here goes.

Graphics of envelopes showing the amount of cash in each, therein. The program has a lot of colorful graphics when it loads ... extend this such that if you have say 14 cash envelopes, (as the wife and I do) and one envelope is labeled as "Mass Transit" and has $50 inside, a corresponding, graphical, "see-through" envelope would show that fifty, nee $45.00 when one spent five of the fifty, etc.

A picture is worth a thousand words, etc!

What you are describing is the program called Budget. The biggest difference between Budget and YNAB is that YNAB is vary clean looking, and very easy to use. What may take a few seconds in YNAB along with a few clicks, will likely require much more time and many more clicks. Then if you need to find old transactions and see everything about them YNAB wins hands down.

I own both programs and Budget for me is a bit too cumbersome for quick usage.

Little icons might be nice (I have thought of this as well), but you have to look at YNAB categories as envelopes. What would be nice is the ability to drag-and-drop categories to one another to transfer money. It would also be nice to have a button that only displays categorize names and budget total in the categories on the budget screen.

The biggest thing would be to have the Budget Screen and the Register on the same page in YNAB for ease of use.
