Update (8/6/2009): We’ve had to temporarily suspend the contest due to a lack of support. We needed a minimum number of participants in order to make this happen and…we didn’t hit that number. We have your entries securely saved and hope to relaunch the contest in the future so we can make this happen! My thanks to those that did participate. A panel of judges will select ten finalists based on the quality, creativity, and originality of their entry. On August 5th, the profiles of the ten finalists will be posted and you’ll be able to vote for the grand prize winner. Voting for the grand prize winner will close August 20th.
We’re holding this contest because 1) we’re passionate about budgeting and 2) we recognize that women are play an unbelievably crucial role in household finances. We’d like to give women everywhere a chance to share what has helped them. We’re hoping these tips will, in turn, help others.

The Contest is open to residents of the United States who are 21 years of age or older at the time the Contest commences. The Contest is subject to all federal, state and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited by law or regulation. Participants agree to abide by the terms of these official rules and by the decisions of the Sponsor which are final and binding on all matters pertaining to the Contest. The Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any participant that it determines, in its sole discretion, is ineligible to participate in the Contest.

If for any reason the Contest is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of the Contest, the Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the Contest, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest. Sponsor assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries. Sponsor is not responsible for problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers, or providers computer equipment, software, failure of any email to be received by the Sponsor on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any web site, or any combination thereof.
By participating in the Contest, each participant agrees to release and hold the Sponsor harmless from any and all losses, damages, rights, claims and actions of any kind in connection with or resulting from participation in the Contest and/or acceptance, possession, or use of any prize(s) including, without limitation, personal injuries, death, property damages and any claims by third parties or otherwise based on publicity rights, defamation, or invasion of privacy. Entrants acknowledge that Sponsor is not responsible or liable for any warranty, representation, or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law, relative to any Prize.
Any dispute that may arise hereunder shall be brought solely in the appropriate state or federal court sitting in the state of Utah, and participants consent to the personal jurisdiction and venue of such court.
