Welcome to the YNAB Wiki

The versatility of YNAB, as well as the amazing community that has developed at the YNAB forums, made a wiki seem like the next logical step. According to Wikis for Dummies, “Everyone need not be a nerd for wikis to succeed. There just needs to be enough nerds to make the wiki useful.” Nerds – that’s a check! We’ve got nerds aplenty. So, a YNAB Wiki should certainly thrive.

Nerd or not, input is welcome, nope not welcome, absolutely necessary. YNAB users have discovered the approaches that work best for them. It’s time to share that knowledge for the good of humanity.

Wiki Guidelines

  1. Respect the work of others. Edit someone else’s work only if you can improve it, expand on it, or to correct typographical/grammatical errors.
  2. If you have another way to approach a topic someone else has written about and it is more than a sentence or two that can be added to the original topic, start a new article. But absolutely link to it from the original article as an “alternative method.”
  3. Write from a neutral point of view (unless in the user tips or testimonial sections).
  4. Cite your sources (if applicable) – plagiarism is not cool!
  5. You have to log in to edit the Wiki.
  6. Enjoy!
