Here is the truth: you don’t need budgeting software to budget effectively.
A lot of people know they need to budget, but instead of just starting to budget, they read a lot about budgeting, research tools and methods, consider when might be the best time to start, spend some time on Reddit, watch some videos…. You will note they still have not budgeted.
Don’t make it more complicated than it is. Don’t avoid digging a trench by researching shovels.
You could budget incredibly well, by applying our philosophy, the Four Rules and nothing more than a pen and paper. For free.
If you resonate and you’ve been stalled by analysis paralysis, here’s what I want you to do. Take out a pen and paper and just start tracking every dollar that you spend. That is a simple thing. It will go a long way toward moving you in the right direction—forward— and just that tracking alone is a big step toward awareness and aligning your money and your priorities.
Now, if you are looking for budgeting software. Ours is the best, and you can try it free for 34-days, but you don’t need YNAB or any software to budget. You do, however, have to start. 🙂

Remember, budgeting is not restrictive. You won’t be spending less, you’ll be spending right. You can do this! Today. Right now. What do you have to lose? Except all that debt and stress. (Ok, so kind of a lot.)
